Enugu Magic Labs Animation Training Program
The Enugu Magic Labs Animation Training Program is a comprehensive educational initiative designed to equip youths in Enugu with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in animation, game design, visual effects (VFX), and filmmaking. The program offers internationally recognized diploma courses, hands-on training, and mentorship from seasoned professionals.

The program is open to all Nigerian youths who have a passion for animation and storytelling. Applicants must be able to read and write and possess a computer or laptop with specific technical requirements.

Participants must have a computer or laptop with at least a Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 16GB of free disk space, and a qualified hardware-accelerated OpenGL graphics card. The operating system should be Windows 7, 8, or 10.

Yes, having a laptop is mandatory for this training program

The training program spans six (6) months, including both virtual and physical training components.

The program offers a range of specializations, each tailored to meet industry standards and demands. Below is a summary of the specializations:

The program aims to train 400 youths in Enugu.

The retail price per participant is ₦500,000. However, the subsidized training fee for participants is ₦135,000, which represents a 73% discount from the retail price. This substantial reduction is aimed at making the program accessible to a wider range of individuals.

The training program is crucial for positioning Enugu State as a hub for creative talent by addressing the rising global demand for skills in 2D Illustration, 3D Motion Graphics, Creative Writing, and Graphics & Visual Design. These skills are increasingly needed across industries such as gaming, film, advertising, virtual reality, content marketing, and digital branding.

Successful applicants who wish to access the Human Capital Development Loan (HCDL) must provide the following:

For the Applicant:

  • One (1) Nationally Recognized Identification (either Driver’s License, National Passport, or Voters Card).
  • Three (3) passport photographs.

For the Guarantor:

  • One (1) Nationally Recognized Identification (either Driver’s License, National Passport, or Voters Card).
  • Two (2) passport photographs.
  • An undated cheque from a CBN-recognized commercial bank (this cheque serves as collateral).

The guarantor cheque is required because it is the least invasive collateral instrument for a loan that is acceptable by the Central Bank of Nigeria. It ensures that the loan can be secured without requiring significant personal assets from the borrower.

Once the payment is made, kindly scan the payment teller and send it to info@enugusme.ng with your “(Full Name) – EMLAT Applicant Paying Directly” as the email title. You can also bring a copy of the payment teller to the agency.

 

  • Can I make part-payment and self-guarantee myself?

 

Yes, you can make an upfront part-payment of ₦67,500, which is 50% of the proposed training fee. You will then be expected to pay back ₦11,250 over the next 6 months of the training. To ensure repayment, a REMITA instruction will be placed on your account for the monthly deductions, and you will be required to issue a cheque for the balance amount. You can still commence the program as long as the cheque is provided within the first month of the training.

 

If you have successfully passed the rigorous selection phase and are chosen for the first cohort but decide to drop out of the program, you will be considered to have defaulted on the training program. The default terms, as detailed in the Offer Letter, will take effect. You are still mandated to repay your loan facility (if you accessed the loan) by law. If you paid up-front, you will not be eligible for a refund.
