The ESME Youth Business Support Grant with the following characteristics shall be eligible to participate in the Grant Scheme:

  1. Registered in Nigeria under the Corporate Affairs Commission
  2. Business must be situated in Enugu
  3. Business owner/representative must have a smart phone
  4. Business owner/ representative must be active on social media; across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  5. Business owner/ representative must be following Enugu SME across all social media platforms

ESME Youth Business Support Grant has 3 Phases

INTRODUCTORY PHASE

At this phase, you are required to follow the promotion link to the google form and provide the information's required for entry into the grant scheme.

LISTENING PHASE

At this phase, the ESME’s experts and board of Judges studies all business pitch decks and approves the best 10. This entire phase is solely done by ESME appointed seasoned experts from diverse fields with great wealth of experience.

VOTING PHASE

At this phase, each participant that made it to to 10 would make a 1 min video (telling the audience about their business), and will also get a personalized poster primarily designed to carry the audience along and get them to vote for your business idea on Instagram. The candidate with the highest number of votes, that is likes and comments, will emerge as the winner.

ESME YOUTH BUSINESS SUPPORT GRANT

A pitch deck is a brief presentation, often created using PowerPoint, or any slide presentation software, for providing your audience with a quick overview of your business plan.

Registration of all prospective participants will be open for 1week.

All Small Businesses across all industries can participate. Ranging from Agriculture to Education, Healthcare, ICT & Tech, and Creative Industries.

21.5% of small businesses don’t make it through the first year. Only about half of these businesses strive to reach the fifth year, and here we are, fighting a pandemic and ensuring that our businesses survive through this tough time.

Meanwhile, the feasibility of these small businesses making it to the fifth year is even more staggering for businesses without funding or angel investors. Hence, we created the ESME Youth Business Support Grant – A competition that aims to reward dedicated, forward-thinking business minds in industries such as Agriculture, Tech, Education, Healthcare, and the Creative Industry with entrepreneurial support and grants to boost their businesses.
