Help students improve their articulation, speech clarity, intonation, stress, rhythm, and fluency. Correct speech errors, mother tongue interference, and common pronunciation mistakes. Conduct phonics and speech drills to develop students' listening and speaking skills. Assess students' pronunciation and communication skills, providing regular feedback and progress reports. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that support effective diction training. Prepare students for public speaking, debates, presentations, drama, spelling bees, and other speech-related activities. Integrate interactive teaching methods, audio-visual aids, and technology into diction lessons. Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that encourages confident communication.
Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in English, Linguistics, English Education, Theatre Arts, Communication Arts, Speech and Language Studies, or a related field. Professional teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, TRCN certification, or equivalent) is an added advantage. Minimum of 1–3 years of experience teaching diction, phonics, speech, or English Language in a reputable school. Excellent command of spoken and written English with clear and accurate pronunciation. Strong knowledge of phonetics, phonology, speech sounds, stress, intonation, and articulation. Ability to teach phonics and diction using modern, learner-centred instructional methods. Strong classroom management and student engagement skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to identify and correct speech and pronunciation challenges in learners. Proficiency in using educational technology, multimedia tools, and Microsoft Office application
