Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ICT lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum. Teach students fundamental and advanced computer skills, including computer operations, internet usage, digital literacy, and basic programming. Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials to support effective teaching and learning. Introduce students to productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and other educational software. Teach coding, computational thinking, and problem-solving using age-appropriate programming languages and platforms.
Qualifications and Requirements for an ICT Teacher Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Computer Engineering, Educational Technology, or a related field. Professional teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, TRCN certification, or equivalent) is an added advantage. Minimum of 1–3 years of teaching experience in ICT, Computer Studies, or a related subject in a reputable school. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and operating systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, and other educational technology tools.
